L’agence Sammen été fondée par Antoine Le Métayer et Axel Mak et s’appuie sur leurs parcours professionnels dans plusieurs agences d’architectures internationales (Snøhetta, Renzo Piano, Jouin Manku...), bureaux d’études techniques et établissements de maîtrise d’oeuvre intégrée. Cette expérience leur permet d’aborder toutes les échelles de projet à travers une pratique transversale et collective.
Le travail de Sammen se caractérise par l’intention de créer des bâtiments clairs et expressifs, ancrés dans leur contexte, adaptés au programme et à son évolution, tout en offrant une forme et une atmosphère uniques. Dès les premières étapes, l’agence collabore étroitement avec la maitrise d’ouvrage et les différents acteurs du projet afin de parvenir à des solutions durables et pérennes.
Sammen was founded by two French architects and engineers, Antoine Le Métayer et Axel Mak, following their Europan 16 winning proposal for a new neighborhood in Hønefoss, Norway. They both have a ten years experience in various architecture and engineering practice including Snøhetta, Jouin Manku, and Renzo Piano which allows the studio to work on a broad range of projects from urban design to public buildings and interiors.
Sammen’s work is characterized by the intention to generate clear and expressive buildings rooted in their context, adapted to the program and its evolution while offering unique form and atmosphere. From early stages, the office is working closely together with the client and the various technical advisors in order to achieve long lasting and easy-to-maintain solutions.
